Mega Volume Mascara Baby Roll 01 Black

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This mascara gives excellent volume and really adds drama to lashes. I have incredibly poker straight, short lashes so most mascaras don't quite have the effect they promise on me. As you can see from the image, the mascara on its own has a defining effect on my eyes compared to not wearing anything. The formulation is really think so not buildable for me as it was already clumpy after one application. It's a heavy formulation so you must apply right at the roots for it to lift or else you just weigh your lashes down at the ends. There is some lift but not quite the curl that's advertised in their before and after picture. Probably due to my short stumpy lashes. Not a total disappointment but a thinner formulation that's buildable would be an improvement.

It is super easy to use as it does not clump at all & one coat using the unusual Miss Baby Roll brush is enough to give you lashes that look much bigger & that have loads of volume & curl. Use two coats if you want a dramatic big lash look. The mascara has good black pigmentation & it stays on all day without flaking. But it is also easy to remove in the evening with just micellar water.
I also like that I do not have to spend ages scraping excess mascara off the brush before using it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There is no doubt this mascara does as advertised and gives you mega volume lashes - but for my money there are better mascaras (from L'Oreal) that give a similar effect but without being claggy, as this is. I am not a fan of the clumpy sort of spider web mascara look. I did however like the fact there was minimal smudging and the mascara lasted all day - but was still easy to remove with my cleanser at night. Overall however I will be sticking with L'Oreal's Volume Million mascara which I think is a better product!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this for the first time today! Firstly I really like the simple packaging it feels a little retro but I like that! The mascara itself went on very well and just from the first coat my eyelashes looked longer! I like the dramatic effect so for that I put on 2 coats and wow what a difference, my eyelashes look thicker and longer - I even got compliments on the school run!

It stayed put all day and didn't smudge even on a very wet dog walk! It was easy to remove! I love it and will definitely buy it again!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Rather disappointing. The mascara is extremely thick and ''lumpy'', and did not curl my eyelashes at all. The wand was so thickly coated and 'gloopy' I had to wipe the excess off before applying. Easy to apply and did give added volume, but the mascara left lots of tiny lumps along my eyelashes, which I tried to comb off without success. I have tried washing and drying the wand to see if the 'lumps' were due to dried mascara product adhering to the wand, but I still had problems. The new style wand made no difference to curling up my eyelashes.... they are still straight after much practise!Sorry, this mascara is not nearly as good as my False Lash Superstar X Fiber, which is great!
PS. why does your survey always ask for value for money when no price is ever given?????

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I don't normally like plastic brush mascaras, but this one was great.

It worked from first use, where most have to dry out for a couple of weeks before i like them. Great volume with one swipe and not clumpy unless you keep going over it. I didn't try it without curling my lashes, but it held a curl well and i liked how deep a black it looked.

The only draw back i found is that lashes feel very much like you're wearing mascara with this. If you can live with that this mascara is awesome.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This mascara is lovely. It goes on so smoothly no clumpiness or stickiness at all. The brush reminds me of the shape of a helter shelter. It glides on when you apply it and your eyelashes look thicker. It makes your eyes look bigger too. My eyelashes didn't look too curled from the front view but when o used a mirror to the side I could definitely see the curl effect. If your looking for a new mascara definitely worth trying. I really like it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The colour of the mascara is amazingly intense black. The fragrance isn't too appealing, as i had a friend say 'has your mascara expired it smells odd'. This was applicable to both the black and indigo shade.

The volume effect is subtle and is something you can build without the mascara clumping. The product itself is lovely.

Packaging could have been a bit more sophisticated, i found that it wasn't something i expected from LOREAL.

I was so impressed with the brush, it lengthens my lashes really well and the jet black colour is intense and not too thick. It lasts well too and didn't even budge when I rubbed my eye. The one thing I like which, I find with other mascaras is that it didn't shed many small fibres. Overall I would really recommend this mascara and I will definitely be purchasing!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Having been asked to review a new mascara I was somewhat surprised to receive L'Oreal's new Mega Volume Miss Baby Roll. The name and the packaging seems to be directed at a far younger market than someone in their 60's !! My eyelashes certainly need help in length and volume - but mega!! When I tried this black one I was immediately impressed with the brush. I put a thinnish one coat on and was pleased with the way it made my lashes look thicker and longer. Further coats would certainly have given the "Mega' look. It didn't clump and I got a bit of curl (something I don't always get with some mascaras.I have now used on three occasions leaving it on all day, it didn't smudge and was easily removed with my usual make up remover.
Seeing this in a shop it is not a product I would have immediately chosen but I am sure it will be a great hit with the teens and twenties.

After trying a few different mascaras from different brands and not being happy with any of them, I'm so glad I've tried this. It makes my lashes look longer and more curled then they've looked for a long time. I love the tiny bristles on the brush - they really grab all the lashes. This mascara is super easy to remove as well, which is great. Will definitely be repurchasing!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have very straight Asian eyelashes. The main thing I want in a black waterproof mascara is the ability to keep my eye-lash-curled lashes curled.
When I saw this product curled your eyelashes I was sceptical. I still am. My eyelashes, though thicker after application remained stubbornly straight. It might be fine for Westerners, but this Eurasian is sticking to her tied and tested usual mascara.

It creates perfectly curled defined lashes without clumping and smudges and gives me a wide eyed look that lasts all day.
I love how the brush grabs and coats each lash effortlessly and quickly, it is a brilliant product to use when getting ready in a rush and will be a staple in my beauty bag from now on.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This mascara is really good for getting at the small baby hairs in the hard to reach corners and the bottom lashes but I'm not sure if I like a hard plastic wand over the usual bristle wand. The texture is fine and leaves lashes silky and glossy, the smell is nice too. Overall a nice mascara especially if you don't mind the hard plastic wand.

The brush on this mascara is very unique at first I thought it may clump my lashes together but it proved me wrong. It glides through lashes almost gently pulling them upwards. The volume is buidable without looking clumpy and does hold the curl all day when using eyelash curlers.

It volumizes even the smallest eye lash. It did take some practice as I use a curved brush normally. It's easy to reapply if you need a touch up - which you won't. It's heavier then my normal mascara which was the only major flaw

It does not clump, lengthens all of the lashes and it lasts all day. I would highly recommend this product and it is defiantly a must have in my makeup bag. It is worth the money and it has made my eyes look so much better just with that mascara on

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This mascara has a brilliant super saturated formulation! This was definitely volumizing, however I didn't see much in terms of curl?
I will definitely continue using this, as usually mascara gets better with time and use! I can't comment on moisturising properties yet, but it felt very gentle on the eyes, and really easy to remove.

Easy to remove and didn't dry out my lashes which is always a worry when trying something new. Looking forward to getting a tube for my mum and sisters now I've ranted about it so much.

I have short and sparse lashes, so it's great to find a mascara that really does make my eyes look larger. I also have very oily lids, so mascara's tend to smudge on me, this wasn't bad on me at all and lasted most of the day.

If you like the really long false eyelashes look then this may not be for you but if you want your lashes to have some definition then I think you will love it.

The mascara wand is so good when it comes to coating all my short lashes. The result is amazing as inlooking like I have thick long lashes. I found the mascara wore all day with out any smudging. Unlike other mascaras it didn't clump either. i liked the fragrance too. I thoroughly recommend this mascara. If you want glossy long and thick lashes with minimum effort you have to try it. I loved it!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Having been trying this mascara for a week now i do liked it but not loved it.as a drugstore mascara it does the job you get a fine layer of mascara on the lashes its not clumpy and no strong fragrance which is great.you do get the effect of long lashes but its not dramatic.loved the black colour.

I would prefer the bristles to be a little longer as my eye lashes are not he best but overall a fab product will defo be buying more.

This mascara really did do the job. I love loreal Mascaras anyway as the telescopic one was my all time fave. Have a few nice favourites now

The black one was more suitable for me and whilst it did curl and lengthen the brush was a little bulky for me! I won't be changing from volume millionlash so couture, which is my favourite mascara ever!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] made my lashes look longer and more volumised. very strong colour black which I liked. could use one coat through the day and two coats on a night out for a more dramatic look. wasn't flaky or drying like some mascaras get throughout the day. Would recommend this product :)

It has a plastic wand,it holds the curl throughout the day.Good for lengthning if you apply one coat but if you're looking for volume then 2 coats.It's ok nothing dramatic,I think for the price you can get a lot nicer mascara.

This is the BEST mascara i have ever used, it stays put all day and makes my lashes look so much longer what more could you ask for? Easy to apply, makes your lashes longer and thicker, and not clumpy. Also it does not smudge at all.
